The setting of Somerset West is one of the loveliest at the Cape. The town's attractiveness lies not in its one street business centre but rather in its rural atmosphere; graceful old homes and estates in a valley protected by the Helderberg and Hottentots-Holland ranges.

Description : Forty Winks Accommodation is situated 20 minutes drive from Cape Town International Airport. The Winelands and the Beaches are only 15 minutes away. It is an ideal place to stay while on holiday, business, looking for your new home or attending a conference at the Lord Charles Hotel only 2.5km away.
Each cottage has one bedroom en-suite, lounge, dining area and fully equipped kitchenette. Children or 3rd adult sleep in the lounge area. Bedrooms have ceiling fans for summer and there are wall heating panels for the winter. Plus some extra's.
The Bedsitter has cooking facilities and an air conditioner.
All accommodation has secure off street undercover parking, own entrance, use of swimming pool, braai (bbq) and garden area.
At an additional cost:
ADSL, Private Laundry, and Meals on request.

Accommodation:
Number of Units: 2 Cottages and 1 Bed-sitter
Number of Guests: 2 adults & 2 children or 3rd adult in each cottage and 2 adults in the Bed-sitter.
Room/Unit Description: The cottages have King, Double and single beds depending on the requirements of our guests and availability. The lounge has sleeping accommodation on single beds for 2 children or adults. Bathrooms have showers and one has bath with overhead shower. DSTV, MNet and SABC channels (video machine or DVD on request).
Fully equipped kitchenette with 2 plate stove with oven, microwave, double door fridge and many extra's
For your security there are burglar bars at all the windows and a wall safe.
Secure off street under cover parking, own entrance, swimming pool, braai (bbq) and garden area.

Facilities: At Forty Winks Accommodation:
Swimming pool, Braai (BBQ) Facilities, Wireless ADSL, Private Laundry Facilities, Pet Friendly (by arrangement) Slight mountain view from the cottages and around the pool area. Plenty of bird life and tranquil environment.
Breakfast and other meals on request or by prior arrangement at an additional cost. We cater for Diabetics.

Pets by prior arrangement and our two old cocker spaniels (12 & 15years) must be respected. Bring your own doggie bedding and animals must be free of flees. Animals are not allowed to climb on the furniture.

Smoking is not allowed in the cottages or the bedsitter but is allowed in the garden or outside the accommodation

Payment Policy:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable on confirmation of the reservation and the balance is payable on arrival.

Attractions and Activities: 40 Winks Accommodation is within easy scenic driving distance to Cape Town, Stellenbosch Hermanus, Ceres, and many more smaller towns. It is the gateway to numerous wine estates and close proximity to various golf courses. Somerset West Country Club is 1km away. You can also watch the Whales when in season and go fishing or plan a boat trip around False Bay, go to Monkey Town or take a walk back into history and visit Vergelegen If you like shopping or want to visit one of the many restaurants the Somerset Mall is the answer being one of the largest in the Western Cape. You could take a hike up the Helderberg Mountain or visit the reserve. On the last Saturday of the month you can visit the Arts and Craft Market.

Directions: From Cape Town international Airport follow the Somerset West Signage. Drive until you come across the R43 Exit. Signage Stellenbosch / Broadway Boulevard. At the top of the off ramp you will find a set of traffic lights - turn left set keeping in the right hand lane. You will see a shopping and housing complex on your left and another housing complex on your right. Stay in the right hand lane and you will come across another set of traffic lights and signage. Turn right into MAIN ROAD. Go through another two sets of traffic lights and shortly after this you will see a sign M9E (UPPER ORANGE STREET) Turn right into Upper Orange round the bend and as soon as you straighten out turn right into QUINAN ROAD. Drive down to the stop sign and then two blocks after this you will see a sign 40 WINKS ACCOMMODATION on the corner of our wall. We are situated at no 30 Quinan Road.
