AFRICAN TIDES GUESTHOUSE

StarStarStarStar

Type : Hotel Accommodation
Grading : Tourism Grading Council of South Africa - Four stars.

Location : Fish Hoek
Fish Hoek is on the electric railway to Simon's Town, is 29 kilometres from Cape Town and claims the uniqueness of being the only teetotal town in the Republic. Under the original title deed granted by Lord Charles Somerset to Andries Bruins in 1818, Fish Hoek was to have no 'public winehouse' and the ban is still maintained; there are no licensed hotels or bottle stores within the municipal boundaries of Fish Hoek. Fish Hoek has a safe bathing beach, extremely popular in the summer, and is noted for good catches in net fishing.

Description : Ambience
Awaken your senses to the freshness of African Tides. A blend of African essence, and the ever changing False Bay. Panoramic views dazzle you as dolphins and seals frolic below. While by night the moon beams her light into your bedroom and whales soothe your dreams with song. Delight your taste buds with a wholesome breakfast, while the wide open views inspire your day. Enjoy your coffee in the spacious lounge or indulge your skin in our saltwater pool.
We await you with welcome arms and true African hospitality.

Directions on How to Get There
At the southern end of Fish Hoek main road the M4, you get the Fish Hoek traffic circle. Here you turn right towards Kommetjie, on the "Kommetjie Road". Approximately 1 km from the circle you turn left into "Highway Road", where you will see our signboard.
After about 100m you will find two roads going off to the right, one after another, both called "Berg Road". You take the second one, again we have a signboard. You follow this road straight for about 1 km, this road eventually turns into "Mountain Road", which comes to a dead end, our house is the last house on the left hand side, with a large sign.
