The town of Montagu lies in the valley of the Langeberg range where the Boland, the Little Karoo and the south western districts meet. Montagu boasts outstanding scenery, tonic climate, mineral springs and sporting facilities which attract large numbers of holiday makers especially in the winter months. Montagu was founded in 1851. Montagu Museum has an interesting local history section. There are a number of attractive old buildings in Montagu, several of which are national monuments.

Description : Anchorage Inn offers superior accommodation in a beautiful garden setting. Guests can choose between B&B or self-catering. All accommodation is extremely comfortable and furnished with taste. Breakfasts are delicious, made with fresh local produce, and are often served on the verandah where the views of the mountains are unsurpassed.
We take pride in offering our guests personal attention, especially with regard to planning local day trips, as well as route planning throughout the entire RSA. We have traveled the country extensively and can provide valuable tips and advice.

B&B Suite 2: Large suite under thatch, lounge with TV (SABC channels), separate bedroom with twin beds, en-suite bathroom with bath and overhead shower, single bed in lounge area, tea & coffee making facilities, small fridge. Private patio, lovely views. Tastefully decorated. - Sleeps 3 people.
B&B Suite 3: Rondavel type accommodation (under thatch). Cosy and lots of character. Queen size bed, TV (SABC channels), en-suite bathroom with shower, tea & coffee making facilities, small fridge. Own patio, very private.- Sleeps 2 people.
B&B Suite 4: Very spacious bedroom, double bed plus single bed. Small private lounge, TV, en-suite bathroom with shower, tea & coffee making facilities, small fridge. Magnificent views. - Sleeps 3 people.
Self-catering cottage 1: Spacious cottage with separate bedroom (double bed), additional single bed in an alcove off the lounge, lounge with TV, full-sized well equipped kitchen, bathroom with bath and shower, lovely patio with superb views. - Sleeps 3 people.
Self-catering cottage 2: Very attractive cottage under thatch with double bed, separate small bedroom leading to bathroom, with single bed. Lounge with TV, very well equipped kitchenette, bathroom with shower, lovely patio with superb views. - Sleeps 3 people.

Facilities : We are situated in a tranquil and safe part of Montagu. Here you will definitely not be disturbed by the noise of heavy traffic in the main streets! At the same time it is an easy walk to the village centre, where you will find shops, restaurants, museums, and other interesting sights.
We have a sparkling pool, delightful garden, and magnificent views of the Langeberg mountains. Sip a glass of wine on you own patio and enjoy the splendour of a true Montagu sunset...
Parking is out of sight, behind security gates, offering you peace of mind . Self-catering guests have access to braai (BBQ) facilities
