Description : Anchors' Rest is situated in the quaint seaside village of Hermanus, 120Km from Cape Town. We are a mere 150m from the famous cliff paths boasting the best land based whale watching in the world! Anchors' Rest is a 1.5Km stroll to the village centre. It lies between the historic Old Harbour (in the village) and the New Harbour with restaurants within walking distance. Champagne air, Blue Flag beaches, spectacular mountain nature reserve, beautiful golf course and other outdoor activities, make Hermanus a popular holiday destination. We will gladly help arrange bookings and plan day trips.

Our popular honeymoon loft suite with views of the mountain and a glimpse of the sea. Spacious suite with queen size bed, en suite bathroom with bath and separate shower and a sea view (shower as you watch the whales!). A separate entrance leads onto a small secluded patio with "Hot Rock" barbecue.
"PEBBLES" - Sleeps 2
Very popular secluded double room with own entrance. White cotton percale linen and beach house decor. En suite shower. French doors lead onto pretty private patio area with BBQ facilities.
"DRIFTWOOD" (Sleeps 2-4)
Our self-catering or B&B garden suite with a bedroom with queen size bed, white percale cotton linen and a separate shower bathroom. A spacious separate living/ dining room has French doors leading onto patio and garden area with BBQ. A sleeper couch provides sleeping for extra 2 persons. Kitchenette area with mini-oven, under counter fridge, toaster, kettle etc.[ Can be combined with "Pebbles" suite to make a spacious 6 sleeper cottage]

Our spacious family room with King size/ twin beds and a double sleeper couch. Spacious bathroom with bath and shower and a separate breakfast room. Own private entrance onto enclosed patio with BBQ and patio furniture.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable on confirmation of the reservation and the balance is payable on arrival.

Attractions and Activities : Hermanus is well renowned for its spectacular whale viewing sites and we are minutes away from the famous cliff paths. Amazing beaches are a 15 minute drive away. All water sports are close by plus golf, and adventure sports.
Directions on How to Get There
Approaching Hermanus from Cape Town side, pass the Gateway Centre shopping mall and Total garage on your right. Pass through the traffic lights and then take the 2nd street to the right - De Goede Street (also marked with Private Hospital sign and Harbour sign). Travel down De Goede towards the sea and at the T Junction turn right into Westcliff Road. We are number 90 on the right hand side immediately after the dog-leg bend!
OR Approaching from Garden Route side via Stanford, enter Hermanus village centre on Main Road. Immediately after the Main Road takes a sharp bend to the right you will pass the old stone church and the Post Office on your left. At the Shell garage turn left down to the sea and at the T junction turn right into Marine Drive which very soon becomes Westcliff Road. We are number 90 on the right hand side immediately after the dog-leg bend!
