The fishermen's cottages roofed with straw gave Struisbaai its name. Three of these cottages have been restored and serve as a reminder of a time gone by. The handsome bay has been formed by an eleven kilometer curve in the coastline where fishermen, bathers and sun-seekers are attracted. Each year in mid-summer the Trans Agulhas boat race takes place and draws large crowds of excited spectators. Another event which takes place annually and also attracts large crowds is the Struisbaai Geelstertfees.

Neat flat in a large garden - suitable for three people
Walking distance from beach and amenities.
Only five hundred metres from swimming beach and two hundred and fifty metres from shopping centre and church.
Accommodation : Single bedroom with double bed.
Bathroom with toilet, wash basin and shower.
Bedding and two towels per person are provided.
Open plan kitchen / lounge with a divan for a third person.
Fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer combo, microwave oven, two plate stove, all utensils as well as basic necessities, coffee, tea etc.
Television - SABC channels.
Small, undercover patio overlooking the garden.
Braai area with table and chairs under the trees. There is also a portable braai.
Tarrif :
Midweek ZAR260 per night for two people plus ZAR70 per additional person
Weekend ZAR300 per night for two people plus ZAR70 per additional person
December and Easter ZAR350 per night for up to two people plus ZAR70 per additional person
Up to four people.
Minimum stay - Two nights
