Rolling sand dunes, golden beaches, the blue of the sea, craggy cliffs and quaint fisherman's cottages, are all part of this delightful village with two names. Known by the locals as Waenhuiskrans, named after the huge sea cavern, which is so large it was said an ox wagon and team of oxen could turn full circle inside the cave. The cave is accessible at low tide. To others the village is known as Arniston, named after the East Indiaman of the same name which wrecked there in 1815 with tragic loss of life.
Description : Arniston Guest House offers warm hospitality, good food, traditional and modern comforts in a homely atmosphere just 200 metres from the beach and harbour.
Wake up to the aroma of freshly ground coffee beans, home baked bread and crispy bacon. A traditional English breakfast is included in our tariff. Lunch and supper are available on request. We also have a tea garden for light meals.
Magnificent sea views and sunsets greet you on the balcony on the third level.

Accommodation : Each of the six suites have the following facilities:
En Suite bathroom; non allergic goose down duvet inners; 100% cotton duvets; tea tray; toiletries; towels; satellite TV; fans and heaters; electric blankets plus additional blankets; safes; gowns; slippers; radio alarm clock; and a laundry bag.
Rooms 1, 2, 4 and 6 all have double beds. Room 3 has two twin beds and room 5 - The Honeymoon Suite - has a king size bed; flowers and wine; bubble bath and massage oil; log fires in the bedroom and bathroom; and balcony with sea views.

Directions on How to Get There From Bredasdorp proceed along Long Street until you reach the Police Station. Turn right at this stop sign and proceed to the next stop sign. Turn left at the sign indicating the route to Arniston. Continue on this road for approximately 24 km (past Overberg Test Range, Die Herberg and Kassiesbaai- white fishing houses)At the first road leading into Arniston (Main Road) turn left. A sign indicating Arniston Guest House will be displayed here. Continue along this road until you find the guest house on the left side of the road.
