Founded in 1838 and named after Sir George Napier, who was governor of the Cape at the time, this village of old world charm has tranquil appeal. In times gone by, Napier's main craftsmen were blacksmiths tending to the many carts of the district. These days the village celebrates its past with an annual Horse and Cart Festival.

Description : Napier farm B&B accommodation at Das Steinhaus offers a rustic stone cottage set on a working Protea flower farm. Come and enjoy a relaxing stay in the heart of the fynbos area. Enjoy the view over open paddocks and rolling wheat fields. Be amazed by the sparkling night sky with zillions upon zillions of stars that you will never see in the city.

Activities : The farm and surrounding area is a bird watchers paradise with walks and hiking trails through the fynbos where you may enjoy the wonder of this unique floral kingdom. Bring your bikes and explore the mountain trails or go horseback riding. There is a dressage arena as well as a jumping arena on the farm.

Accommodation :
The cottage comprises one bedroom with two single beds; en suite bathroom with shower and lounge area. accommodates two adults and one small child. Braai facilities.
Breakfast : is a sumptuous affair with cereals, bacon and eggs, a variety of cheeses, cold meats, toast, coffee and tea. Farm made butter, yogurt and of course free range eggs.

Tariff:
All rates are in South African Rands (ZAR)
ZAR300.00 single per night, breakfast included.
ZAR280.00 per person per night sharing, breakfast included.

ZAR350.00 per night minimum charge.

Payment Policy:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable on confirmation of the reservation and the balance is payable on arrival.

Directions on How to Get There Travel from Cape Town on the N2 towards the Garden Route. At Caledon turn off the N2 and travel through Caledon on the R316 to Napier and Bredasdorp. Approximately 65 kilometers from Caledon you will reach the village of Napier. Proceed along the main street (Sarel Cilliers Street) until you reach the NG Church on your right. Turn right into Kerk street. At Steyn Street turn left. Turn right into Plein Street and proceed out of town with the high school on your right, onto a gravel road. Pass the funeral palour on your left and proceed until you reach the sign board for Manyana Farm on your right. The farm is three kilometers from the main road in Napier.
