The fishermen's cottages roofed with straw gave Struisbaai its name. Three of these cottages have been restored and serve as a reminder of a time gone by. The handsome bay has been formed by an eleven kilometer curve in the coastline where fishermen, bathers and sun-seekers are attracted. Each year in mid-summer the Trans Agulhas boat race takes place and draws large crowds of excited spectators. Another event which takes place annually and also attracts large crowds is the Struisbaai Geelstertfees.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable on confirmation of the reservation and the balance is payable on arrival.

Directions on How to Get There
From Cape Town: Travel on the N2 to Caledon. At Caledon take the route through Napier and Bredasdorp to Struisbaai. In Struisbaai drive down the main road past the harbour to the end of all buildings on your left. Turn right into Ocean View Drive then 2nd
right into Leervissingel. Dreams is situated on the left on the paved street (white double story cottage.)

"Ons het paasnaweek in DREAMS deurgebring en dit was van die intrapslag af aangenaam verras met wat ons daar aangetref het. Alles wat jy vir 'n strandhuis benodig is daar; ruimte, baie slaapplek, genoeg badkamers, min onderhoud, heerlike binne-braai vir tye van slegte weer.
Ons sal definitief weer daar tuisgaan as ons weer Struisbaai se kant toe keer!
