Each fully equipped 2-bed roomed gold-mining style cottage accommodates up to 5 persons. Forest Edge, with its little extras and personal touches, offers a memorable and affordable break-away holiday experience to remember. Enjoy an emerald day on Forest walks, picnics or biking trails, horse riding nearby, canoe at the 'Drift', enjoy a massage, laze in a hammock or at the beach, or on an adventure activity or trip to Knysna town (20 leisurely minutes away). After a refreshing hot-water outdoor shower or relaxing indoor bath, mellow out on the verandah with sun downers. Watch a bush buck or baboon family drink at the dam. Light a braai (barbecue) under the stars to the chorus of frogs; flitting fireflies and evocative nightjars add to the enchantment. In winter, enjoy a book or video in front of a cozy log-fire...
Accommodation in the cottages :
Each self-catering cottage offers the following accommodation: verandah with table and chairs that overlooks the private barbecue area; a private outdoor hot water double-shower; an open plan lounge / dining / kitchen (with extras microwave and TV/video), Cozy fireplace (with firewood); Main bedroom with Double bed, Second bedroom with 2 single beds (cot and extra mattress on request), Old-fashioned bath and basin (toilet separate). Linen and bathing towels are provided and cottages are serviced daily.

Directions on How to Get There Directions (from the N2)
From George: Travel East through Wilderness and Sedgefield. After about 15km, turn left at the Rheenendal Turnoff.
From Knysna: Travel West towards George. About 1.5km after the lagoon bridge, turn right at the Rheenendal Turnoff.
Once on the Rheenendal road: Continue for 11.5km. Just past the Rheenendal Post Office, turn right at the Bibby's Hoek sign. Follow the dirt road for 2.2km to the intersection at the entrance to the State Forest. Turn left and continue for 1.5km. Forest Edge is the last property on this road.
