Despite its close proximity to the sea - only eight kilometres away - the town enjoys a year-round gentle climate with equable rainfall and little or no humidity. The surrounding countryside is perennially green.
Description : George Lodge International is a guesthouse/bed and breakfast in George, a favourite holiday destination on South Africa’s beautiful Garden Route. We offer accommodation, conference facilities and now also a shuttle and tour service. The Lodge is situated less than a 10 minutes’ drive to George Airport and close to the shops, restaurants and coffee bars of the vibrant, cosmopolitan town.
With many years of experience in the hospitality industry, mother and daughter team, Lenie Stander and Reinette Marais have established one of the most successful guesthouses in the Garden Route.
We provide our guests with a fantastic value-for-money experience, fulfilling all the needs of the business or leisure traveller, from comfortable accommodation and excellent amenities to delicious cooked breakfasts and attentive service from our dedicated staff.
George Lodge International offers the perfect base to explore the Garden Route. With its private oak-lined garden, swimming pool, poolside patio and deck with stunning views of the Outeniqua Mountains, it provides a comfortable and affordable home-away-from-home for business people, and couples and families on vacation. We have 22 en-suite rooms to choose from, each individually decorated. Our rooms are equipped with coffee making facilities and we also offer 10 different tv channels to choose from.
We are able to offer our guests the benefit of our excellent knowledge of the area and our experience of coordinating numerous weddings, functions and conferences. Our airconditioned conference venue can accommodate up to 50 delegates (depending on seating style) and we also have a 12 seater boardroom for smaller groups. We have set high standards for our well-trained team and know that what sets us apart from other establishments in the area is our dedication to making your stay with us memorable.
We also have our own Shuttle Service from the George Airport to George and to surrounding towns in a certified, aircondioned Minibus. All transport and shuttles are done using a Nissan Primastar for your comfort and convenience, all our drivers have undergone advanced drivers training and hold valid public drivers licenses, our drivers are in the process of becoming Theta (Satour) accredited tour guides so you can sit back relax and enjoy the ride.
We focus on individual comfort in our safe, clean and stylish air-conditioned Minibus. With our central location on the Garden Route, you will find that all the area activities are easily accessible, including golf, adventure and water sports, whale and dolphin excursions, the famous Cango Caves and ostrich farms in Oudtshoorn, game viewing, animal sanctuaries and much more.
We offer same day trip packages to the surrounding towns, Oudtshoorn, Mosselbay, Knysna, Plettenbergbay, Prince Albert, De Rust and any other town of your preference. Half and full day packages can be tailored to your specifications for costs contact our Lodge and let us discuss your requirements so that both parties are mutually happy and then sit back and enjoy the ride.
Accommodation:
The Lodge is able to cater for 44 people in 21 rooms.
George Lodge International has single, double and family-sized rooms uniquely tailored to your every need. Single rooms are available with 2 twin beds or a double bed. Double rooms are also available with two twin beds or a double bed.
One of the double rooms is equipped with a small kitchen. The family rooms have either three twin beds, or a double bed with a single bed. Two of the family rooms are equipped with small kitchens.
All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, some with showers, and some with baths. Every room is equipped with coffee making facilities as well as TV with M-Net and 2 DSTV channels (Super Sport and Movie Magic).

Payment Policy:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable on confirmation of the reservation and the balance is payable on arrival.

Directions:
The lodge is on the road to Oudtshoorn, when you come down our main street, York Street, you carry on until you get to the traffic circle accross the street from the Museum and then turn left and then left again into Davidson Road, we are the second building on the left.
