After Cape Town and Stellenbosch, Swellendam was the third settlement to be founded by the Dutch East India Company. The Drostdy was completed in 1747 and in the same year the new district was named Swellendam in honour of Governor Hendrik Swellengrebel and his wife Helena ten Damme. Swellendam is a busy centre of a thriving agricultural region.
Description :
Heskwa B&B is a modern self-contained apartment situated on a quiet cul-de-sac overlooking the historic quarter of Swellendam. It offers safe off-street parking. It shares a lovely pool and a large garden with the main house. It is pet-friendly and children are very welcome.
Accommodation :
Heskwa B&B is a compact family home designed for a family of 4 which is always rented to a single family or group. The living space consists of a sitting room, dining room and a modern, fully equipped kitchen. Both bedrooms are en-suite with the larger bedroom having both shower and full bath. Each bedroom has 2 single beds and a cot can be provided for very young guests. Breakfast is served in the main house. Other meals can be arranged on request.

Babies, toddlers up to two years and pets free.

Directions on How to Get There
From Cape Town take the N2. At the third entrance into Swellendam, travel down Swellengrebel Street which becomes Voortrek Street. In Voortrek Street travel past the historical Dutch Reformed Church on your right and then turn right into Von Manger Street, right into Kanon Street , right into Van Rhyneveld Street and finally right into Shand Street. Heskwa is on the left.
