This enchanting little resort, six kilometres south-east of Strand, lies in a protected cove at the base of the Hottentots-Holland Mountains. Colonel Robert Jacob Gordon of the Dutch East India Company, a traveler of some note during his time, gave his name to the place when he explored the coastline in 1778. The sheltered harbour is well-constructed with two moles and provides anchorage for pleasure and fishing craft. Once the training college for merchant officers of the famed General Botha (now moved to Granger Bay), the facilities are used by the Naval Academy.

Description : House of Pearls Gordons Bay, is the ideal place to base yourself when in the Western Cape.
It is so central to all the Cape's Tourist attractions,and itself is the perfect town for a sea side holiday.
It is on the fringe of the Stellenbosch wine route which starts in Somerset West, 10 minutes drive from Gordon's Bay, whilst Strand shares the coastline.

A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable on confirmation of the reservation and the balance is payable on arrival.

Attractions and Activities:
Gordons Bay has the most beautiful white sandy beaches, awarded Blue Flag status, that are safe for swimming and sunbathing.
Near to the Arabella Golf Course in S.A. and the top golf course in the Western Cape.
Gordons Bay is the start of the Whale route. Every year between July and October whales visit the waters of False Bay.
Near to the popular town of Hermanus and close to the Vergelegen and Lourensford wine estates.

Directions:
Follow the N2 to Gordons Bay turn off. (Sir Lowry Rd)
follow road to Faure Marine, turn right. Go past the BP garage towards Strand. At the entrance to Hendon Park turn right into Robina Rd. At the stop Street turn left into Lancaster Rd , 2nd Rd Oak Rd turn right and follow the road to the T junction. Turn left into Whittle Crescent. The house is on the right hand side. No 12 Whittle Crescent Ocean Peaks Gordons Bay.
