Although the national road divides Wilderness it has done nothing to spoil its profound beauty, in fact if anything the separation of the eight kilometre long beach from the village fringing the lagoon produces a special charm and the road provides accessibility to view sites to take in the scenic delights. At Wilderness the Touws River forms a lagoon from where boats can be taken upstream for sixteen kilometres leading to the lakes and Ebb and Flow Nature Reserve, a sanctuary of woodland streams, waterfalls and prolific bird life.
Description: Interlaken B&B is perched on the top of an indigenous embankment that offers spectacular bird watching with panoramic, unhindered views of Island Lake and the Serpentine River. Sun streams through the north facing sliding doors and windows making the entire house warm and inviting. These doors lead out onto spacious wooden decks that give the feeling of being on top on the world.
3 double self-catering/B&B units (en-suite), each with own kitchenette and private deck make up the top and bottom floors, while the middle floor has another 3 double bedrooms (MES) with French doors to a secluded under-cover porch for a late afternoon browse through the newspaper.
Just over the road, 18 km's of silver beach stretch out as far as the eye can see with abundant activities like surfing, sun bathing, swimming, fishing, skiing, mountain-climbing/biking, scuba diving and much more. Interlaken Guest house is perfectly positioned for all the activities that Wilderness has to offer.

Directions on How to Get There
On the N2 from George pass the village of Wilderness. Stay on the N2 until you reach the sign 'North' on the left hand side of the road. Turn left. Interlaken B&B is on the left. From Knysna look out for the 'North' sign. Turn right. Interlaken B&B is the first house on the left.
