Named after the wild geese in the area, Gansbaai is a quaint fishing village from where there are sweeping views of this rugged stretch of coast. Each year during the summer holiday season people from up-country flock to nearby villages from Franskraal to Pearly Beach as well as the holiday resort at Uilenskraalmond in order to enjoy the fine weather and wide open beaches where various activities take place, including angling, boating and safe bathing in the lagoon.

Description : This Cape Dutch farm style oceanfront guesthouse is perched on the limestone cliffs of De Kelders where the Southern Right Whale visits to calve each spring. Peaceful and private, Kleinzee is an ideal retreat for lovers of the great outdoors.
Kleinzee offers true Overberg hospitality and hearty breakfasts with local award winning cheeses and preserves. Sample local wines while watching the sun set over the ocean from your private whale viewing deck.
The house has three ocean facing suites, all with direct access to a popular sea side hiking trail. Each of the rooms has its own private viewing deck with magnificent ocean and mountain views. A heated splash pool in the sheltered courtyard is an ideal remedy for those hot summer days.
Surrounded by Fynbos, pristine country side, award winning wine and cheese farms and many other hidden treasures, you will be inspired and rejuvenated by the tranquillity of nature.

Accommodation:
There are three suites which can accommodate six guests.
Room Description: Two of the suites are on the lower storey. The third, honeymoon suite, is on the top storey. Each room is luxuriously appointed with private access, under floor heating and satellite TV. The rooms have king size beds, luxurious linen, down duvets and fluffy pillows to whisk you off to dreamland. The spacious bathrooms are en-suite with Victorian baths and pebble floor showers. The first two rooms share a lounge area with leather couches in which to relax, read or play board games. The honeymoon suite has it's own private lounge. It's bathroom is open plan with a large bathtub and sea view shower. Relax on your deck chair to the murmur of the ocean and the sounds of whales breathing and basking in the bay

Attractions and Activities:
Kleinzee Guest House is centrally situated to enjoy all the activities the Overberg has to offer. A convenient 5 min drive takes you to Gansbaai Town where fresh fish is always available from the active harbour. Gansbaai is known as the big two town for it's Great White Shark cage diving industry and spectacular whale watching. The Kleinbaai harbour where shark cage diving and whale watching vessels depart is a mere 10 mins drive from the guesthouse. Hike to the nearby Walker Bay nature reserve with its own sheltered swimming bay and caves of archaeological interest. Explore the rugged coast line via sea-kayak, go for cave tours or simply relax on your own private deck.

De Kelders is approximately 180 km's drive from Cape Town airport and 40 km's drive from Hermanus. A shuttle service from the airport to Hermanus with car hire in Hermanus is available
