The town of Montagu lies in the valley of the Langeberg range where the Boland, the Little Karoo and the south western districts meet. Montagu boasts outstanding scenery, tonic climate, mineral springs and sporting facilities which attract large numbers of holiday makers especially in the winter months. Montagu was founded in 1851. Montagu Museum has an interesting local history section. There are a number of attractive old buildings in Montagu, several of which are national monuments.

Description : The Koo Karoo Guest Lodge is centrally situated in a quiet street in the historic part of Montagu. Leave your car in our off street parking area as restaurants and all other amenities are within easy walking distance.
Accommodation : Number of Rooms: three.    Number of Guests: 6
Four spacious en suite rooms, each with private entrance are located in the main house. Each room is equipped with tea/coffee facilities, heaters, and fans. The secluded garden offers braai area and sparkling pool. The guest lounge is comfortably furnished and provides DSTV where guests can enjoy a complimentary glass of Montagu Muscadel. English or Continental Breakfast is personally served in the dining area or on the terrace overlooking the garden.
Room 1 - Two single beds, en suite shower and toilet. SABC TV in the room, tea and coffee facilities in the room, private entrance. Sleeps 2.
Room 2 - Queen double bed, en suite shower, bath and toilet. SABC TV in the room, tea and coffee facilities in the room, private entrance. Sleeps 2.
Room 3 - King double bed, en suite shower, bath and toilet. Tea and coffee facilities in the room, private entrance overlooking garden. Sleeps 2.

Directions on How to Get There
When approaching Montagu from Ashton on the Route 62 (Long Street) take the second road on the left, Barry Street. Take the second turning on the right onto Piet Retief Street and the Koo Karoo Guest Lodge is on the left next door to the Municipal Offices.
If approaching from Barrydale take the fifth right up Church Street, at the end of the road turn right and then immediately left onto Bloem Street. At the junction turn left and the Koo Karoo Guest Lodge is immediately on your right

* Wine tasting locally in the village of Montagu and in the nearby Robertson Wine Valley
* A tractor ride into the Langeberg mountains, operated on a Wednesday and Saturday and booked via the Montagu Tourist Office
