Halfway between Robertson and Swellendam is Bonnievale. When it was founded in 1902 it was named Vale, the name changed to Bonnievale in 1917. Famous for its outstanding muscatel wines, sherries and Bonnita cheese, it also produces table wines, brandy and excellent clingstone peaches and apricots, mainly for canning. There is fishing in the Breede River. Some fine race horses have been bred in the district including Excise, a 'July' winner.
Description : This delightful cottage nestles at the foot of the majestic Langeberg Mountains, close to the Breede River as well as the historic towns of Bonnievale, Swellendam, Montagu and Robertson. The self-catering cottage is built some 200metres from the main farm house and is comfortably furnished and fully equipped to make your stay a pleasant one.

Spacious living area with double doors onto the patio, where you can relax and take in the wonderful countryside and mountain views.
On a hot summers day cool off with a splash in the farm pool.

The cottage can accommodate eight people in total.
One double bedroom with a double bed and en suite bathroom.
Second double bedroom with twin beds and en suite shower.
There is an open loft area with a steep ladder for access and has four single beds.
French and German spoken.

Tariff:
ZAR500 for the first two persons(ZAR250 each) per night thereafter:

ZAR28 per infant in arms
Payment Policy:
A 50% non-refundable deposit is payable on confirmation of the reservation and the balance is payable on arrival.

Directions on How to Get There
From the N2:
At Swellendam turn onto the R60 to Ashton. After approximately 22km turn left at Drew / Bonnievale turn off. After 2.2km at the small church turn left onto gravel (no signs) Follow this road and take the right fork for 1.5km until you reach our sign on the left.
