MEDINDI MANOR
Type : Guest House Accommodation Grading : Tourism Grading Council of South Africa - Four stars. Location : Rosebank, Cape Town
Rosebank took its name from an old estate. Conveniently situated for a number of exclusive schools and the University of Cape Town, Rosebank is somewhat sheltered from the South-easter which blows during the summer months. Mostert's Mill, one of Cape Town's best known historical monuments is a reminder that one of South Africa's first industries was wheat-milling. The mill still in perfect working order with its original threshing floor, stands on the Welgelegen farm, situated in Rosebank, and first granted to free burgher Cornelis Stevensz Botma in 1676.
