The picturesque town of Hermanus lies between the Kleinrivierberge and the sea and stretches for six kilometres along the north shore of Walker Bay.
Celebrated for its coastal beauty, wild flowers, angling, fine beaches and whales, Hermanus is one of the premier holiday resorts of the country. The holiday season which used to range through spring and summer to autumn - September to May - has in modern times increased to make the resort popular all year round.
Description : Situated at the foot of the Fernkloof Nature Reserve - a fynbos paradise for nature lovers and hikers. The Lodge is only 300 meters from the two main swimming beaches of Hermanus, one of which a blue flag accredited site. We are just 6 minutes from the village centre, 5 minutes from the Hermanus Golf Course and only 22 km from the new Arabella Golf Estate. This 4 Star guest house offers luxury en-suite rooms with private patios and private entrances. Some rooms have twin or king size beds and other rooms are family rooms. The luxury one bedroomed cottage which is serviced on a daily basis is fully equipped and is available on a self-catering basis or breakfast can be offered. The cottage has two additional day beds in the lounge/living area.

Three Luxury en-suite rooms with private patio and private entrance direct access into the garden.
All are equipped with fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, wallsafe, international plugs, hairdrier, TV, heating, fan and has twin or king size beds with white percale linen.
The en-suite bathroom has bath and walk-in shower and we supply large white fluffy towels as well as pool towels.
One Extremely large family room with two double beds, situated upstairs in the main house and directly accessible via a private staircase from the garden. This room has a small kitchenette with fridge and microwave. There is a wallsafe, international plugs, heating, fan, hairdrier and TV.The bathroom has a shower only.
A second family room with a private patio and entrance with direct access into the garden. This room has a queen size bed as well as a twin bed.
There is a small fully equipped kitchenette. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and walk-in shower.

Take a dip in the swimming pool or relax on your own private patio.
Watch the sunset or enjoy the view from the garden and join everybody for a glass of wine on the communal patio under the ancient Milkwood trees.
Alternatively let your hosts arrange one of the many excursions on offer.
The fully equipped cottage and spacious en-suite rooms are ideal for longer stays and offer a choice of twin or king size beds.
The bathrooms all have showers and baths.
All rooms have mini safes, international plugs, hairdryers, television, fridge and tea/coffee trays.

Directions on How to Get There
Getting here from Cape Town: Take the N2 and continue past the Airport to Somerset West. Either follow the N2 over Sir Lowry's Pass, turning onto the R43 after the Houwhoek Pass, or take the R44 along the coast and turn onto the R43 to Hermanus. Drive through the business centre until you get to a stop street, you will see the Marine Hotel on the right side. Carry on and pass the Golf Course until you get to a traffic circle - Main Road becomes Seventh Street at the traffic circle. Milkwood Lodge is 1.1 kms further along on the left side of the road. Drive past Milkwood Lodge and turn left into 10th Avenue, left into 6th Street and then left into 9th Avenue. You will see the entrance of Milkwood Lodge on your right hand side.
Getting here from the Garden Route: The N2 brings you west past Swellendam and Riviersonderend. 10km past Riviersonderend turn onto the R326 to Stanford. At Stanford turn right onto the R43. Milkwood Lodge is situated 22km from Stanford on the R43. When you enter Hermanus there is a "Welcome to Hermanus" sign. Approximately 1.3 kms further you will see Milkwood Lodge on the right hand side.
