The fishermen's cottages roofed with straw gave Struisbaai its name. Three of these cottages have been restored and serve as a reminder of a time gone by. The handsome bay has been formed by an eleven kilometer curve in the coastline where fishermen, bathers and sun-seekers are attracted. Each year in mid-summer the Trans Agulhas boat race takes place and draws large crowds of excited spectators. Another event which takes place annually and also attracts large crowds is the Struisbaai Geelstertfees.
Description : Ocean View B&B is situated in Struisbaai, a stone's throw from the Southernmost Tip of Africa, next to Cape Agulhas. This well-appointed B&B offers a spectacular sea view, 4 tastefully decorated bedrooms plus the exquisite honeymoon suite. Struisbaai is known as the best location for kite flying and offers outstanding whale watching and fishing opportunities. Children are welcome.
Ships, far out on the horizon, pass the Southernmost Tip of Africa and whales display their majestic elegance while you enjoy our delicious full breakfast in an elegant yet relaxed setting. After breakfast, enjoy a leisurely stroll along Struisbaai's 14 km white sandy beach, visit the Southernmost Tip of Africa or view the incredible Fynbos including Proteas in the nearby nature reserve.

Honeymoon suite A more spectacular sea view than obtained from the Honeymoon Suite is hard to come by. This very spacious room has, apart from the luxurious en-suite bathroom, a rather unique open-air yet very private shower. Bathe under the stars of the African sky - make a wish when a shooting star passes by.
Green Room. This spacious, ground level, luxuriously appointed room offers an excellent sea view. Enjoy the luxury of the spacious bathroom or use the additional open-air shower and toilet. Why a loo with a view of the sky? Because our sky is so beautiful it would be a sin not to have it!
The White Room. This wonderfully spacious and private room offers a full bathroom plus, because our sky is so magnificent, an additional open-air yet private outdoor shower. The room is children friendly (and so are we). Children always enjoy our beach and the warm ocean water. Browse in the rock pools. Have fun fishing at the harbour.
The very private Orange en-suite room offers its visitors Blue, Blue and Barbecue! Enjoy a lovely view of the blue ocean, the endless blue African sky above and barbecue facilities on the balcony that overlooks the courtyard garden.
At Ocean View B+B we pride ourselves on being wheelchair friendly. This luxuriously appointed room with sea view was especially designed for wheelchair bound persons from the word go and not altered as an afterthought. Entry to the room, the bathroom, toilet and shower will make your stay a pleasurable and safe one

Dit was 'n absolute fees!! Sêrah en Jaap laat mens voel of jy by familie kuier! Hulle plek is fantasties en het die mooiste uitsig! En haar kos is BOEREKOS!!
Ons was ook VREESLIK gelukkig in die sin dat ons toe in die Honeymoon suite beland het!! Sy het reeds die White Room bespreek gehad en gee toe vir ons die Honeymoon suite vir dieselfde prys!.....Nogmaals baie dankie! Ons gaan verseker weer daar kuier!
