Bredasdorp was founded on the farm Langefontein in 1838, by the Hon. Michiel van Breda, who was the first mayor of Cape Town and a member of the Cape Legislative Council. The old farm homestead together with the old Independent Church alongside, are both national monuments and both buildings today house a unique and fascinating collection of shipwreck memorabilia. The Shipwreck Museum in Bredasdorp, tells the tale of the fate of many a soul who encountered the rough seas.
Description :
Comfortable self-catering apartment in a quiet, safe suburb close to the centre of town. Bredasdorp is an ideal place to stay while exploring the southernmost tip of Africa. The apartment has its own private entrance and off street parking.
Accommodation :
Accommodation comprises a double bedroom with double bed and cupboards, tastefully decorated and has a view of the pretty garden. There are two single beds in the living room of the apartment. We are therefore able to accommodate four people; two sharing a double bed and two single beds in the living room.
Facilities :
A bathroom with bath, shower, toilet and wash basin leads off the large open plan living area, which comprises; a fully equipped kitchenette for light self-catering; a double bed in front of a fireplace; lounge area with two comfortable couches and a TV; sliding door leads to a private braai patio. The kitchenette is equipped with a small fridge, two plate stove, microwave oven, kettle, wash up area, cutlery and crockery for four people.

Directions on How to Get There
Bredasdorp is approximately 195km from Cape Town on the N2. From Cape Town travel out of town on the N2 until you reach Caledon. At Caledon turn off the N2 onto the R316 to Bredasdorp. On entering Bredasdorp turn right at the first four way stop sign into Viljoen Street. Travel up Viljoen Street until you reach the intersection of Plantation (Plantasie) Street. Turn left into Plantation Street and travel past two churches on your right. We are the last house on the right on the corner of Reunion (Re-unie) Street.
Bredasdorp is approximately 523km from Beaufort West on the N12 and N2. From the Garden Route on the N2 travel past Swellendam for about 10km and turn left on the R319 to Bredasdorp. You will arrive in Bredasdorp in All Saints Street. Stay on this road and travel through town and up the hill until you reach a 'T' junction. Turn right into Bonds Street with the high school in front of you. At the stop street with the hospital in front of you turn right into Van Riebeeck Street and left into Dorpsig. At the first stop street turn right into Reunion Street. Turn left into Plantation Street. Peaches 'n Cream is the first house on the left. Please park in front of the garage.
