False Bay received its name when the early mariners sailing from the east mistook Cape Hangklip for the Cape of Good Hope. The False Bay inlet is thirty kilometres wide and at about midway in the inlet is Muizenberg, one of the best known and safest seaside resorts in the world. Its fame rests entirely with the glory of its splendid surfing beach, gently sloping and without backwash or current. On a fine summers day vast crowds are attracted o Muizenberg where a colourful is presented with its scores of private bathing boxes, canvas cubicles and umbrellas.
Description : Situated in a quiet, secure area of MUIZENBERG, CAPE TOWN - a straight eight-minute walk of four blocks to the beachfront and about the same to the metro rail or village.
My flatlet is on the front of my house with a garden setting and sleeps up to four. It would not be suitable for two couples because of lack of privacy. But it's fine for parents and children if you don't mind sharing one large bedroom.
Accommodation : The flatlet with separate entrance comprises a bedroom with double bed and two single beds, open plan to a small dinette/kitchenette area with bathroom/toilet and shower over bath.
The flat is fully equipped with a stove, microwave, fridge, toaster and TV. Linen and towels are provided.
If needs be, a heavy curtain can be drawn across bedroom area for privacy. It has a separate entrance on to my stoep and off-street parking that is lit up by security lights and is behind a locked sliding gate. Guests have the use of a portable braai.
Facilities : We are on the Metro Rail Service to Cape Town and environs.
Cape Town Central and the V&A Waterfront is a 35 minute drive north.
Fish Hoek a 10 minute; and Simon's Town a 20 minute drive south.
Muizenberg is in the False Bay, on the warm sea and you can take the beach road through to Stellenbosch and the Winelands

Directions on How to Get There
From Cape Town take the M3 to Muizenberg. Drive down Main Road (M4) to Baden Powell Drive. Turn left into Axminster Road which becomes Yarmouth Road. We are on the left at number 15.
