The Franschhoek mountains close the end of the Drakenstein Valley and below the range is the little town of Franschhoek, fiest settled by the French Huguenots in 1688. The village has several fine eating houses and accommodation establishments. At the head of Franschhoek's main road and the foot of the Franschhoek Pass is the impressive Huguenot Memorial. Description : Plumwood Inn is a small romantic retreat situated in the historical heart of Franschhoek and offers seven rooms of different sizes in two adjacent properties: four in the main house and three in the villa. All three rooms in the villa offer the same features as the main lodge; however, the décor reflects a more contemporary modern style.

Only one hour from Cape Town and twenty minutes from both Paarl and Stellenbosch, Franschhoek makes the perfect base from which to explore and enjoy the area.

Each of the seven rooms has a unique sense of style and design equipped with satellite TV, hair-dryer, mini-safe, alarm clock, heater, air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom.
Start your day with a sumptuous alfresco breakfast with homemade preserves, bread and other delights on the sunny garden terrace or in our elegant lounge.
Dinners will be served on Monday and Thursday.
