North of Ysterfontein roads lead off the R27 to the left to Langebaan Lagoon, a beautiful expanse of water of remarkable dimensions; great length and breadth, sixteen kilometers by five kilometres, but average only five metres only. In August 1985 the Langebaan Lagoon, including the intertidal and admiralty zones, and the islands, Malgas, Jutten, Marcus and Schaapen were proclaimed the West Coast National Park. Since 1987 the Park has been considerably expanded resulting in a new 20 000 hectare national park centred around this highly sensitive, bird-rich lagoon - supporting some 55 000 birds during summer, many migrating from the arctic regions during the northern hemisphere winter. Among the hordes are cormorants, gulls, common sandpipers, sanderlings, knots, turnstones, plovers, gannets and flamingoes. Other attractions include boat rides, wild flowers during August and September.

Equipped kitchenette, en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet, basin) with towels, Veranda with a braai, overlooks the pool, lagoon views - can sleep a couple Unit No. 3: Bedroom with a double bed, sunroom with bunk beds, full bathroom with towels, equipped kitchenette, own braai area. - can sleep 4 Unit No. 4: Family unit - Bedroom with a double bed with bedding with a en-suite bathroom (shower, toilet, basin) with towels. Smaller bedroom with bunk beds, with a en-suite toilet , basin, extra 2 single beds off the lounge area, Lounge area, dining room area with table and chairs, equipped kitchen with stove etc. Own braai area, Lagoon views.
