Situated halfway between Cape Town and Knysna on the N2, Skeiding Guest Farm is the perfect place to revitalise and to explore true South African culture in a tranquil picturesque old majestic farm setting.

Ossie the Ostrich (Struthio camelus nr 1): - The biggest bird in the world -
This room is inside the main homestead with a private entrance that opens onto spectacular Langeberg Mountain views. It has a double bed and full bathroom (shower and bath). It can be inter leading with the Blue Crane room for a family suite.
Blue Crane (Anthropoides paradiseus nr 208): - South Africa's elegant National bird - flocks of up to a 100 can sometimes be seen -
This room is also in the main homestead with a wheelchair friendly bathroom (shower) and twin beds. It can be inter leading with Ossie the Ostrich room for a family suite.
Cottages
The two cottages each have a living area, main bedroom and a bathroom with a shower. They can serve as self-catering cottages. It sleeps maximum four (two adults and two children who sleep on a sleeper couch in the living area). A Dover stove in the living area will keep you warm and cosy in the winter months.
Southern Red Bishop ( Euplectes orix nr 824) - spectacular flocks of red and black birds in reed beds -Fitted with a Queen size bed.
Guinea Fowl ( Numida meleagris nr 203) - grey bodied, flecked with white -
Fitted with twin beds.

Directions on How to Get There From Swellendam - Take the N2 towards Mossel Bay. 45 km after Swellendam farm signed left. Follow the tar road for 2 km. Farm then signed left onto a gravel road. 3 more km and another left turn. House on hill.
From Heidelberg - Take the N2 towards Swellendam. 10 km after Heidelberg farm signed right. Follow the tar road for 2 km. Farm then signed left onto a gravel road. 3 more km and another left turn. House on hill.
From Barrydale - Take the R324 through the Tradouw pass towards Suurbraak. Coming out of the pass you will reach a T-junction. Turn left towards Heidelberg. (The tar road becomes a gravel road after a few kilometers.)Travel 13,5 km on this road towards Heidelberg farm signed right. 4 more km and another right turn. House on hill.
