STORMSVLEI RIVERSIDE COTTAGES
Type : Self-catering Farm Accommodation Location : Stormsvlei
The little hamlet of Stormsvlei comprises a cluster of buildings on the farm Avontuur which lies just off the National Road (N2) on the R317 road to Bonnievale, Montagu and Robertson. The current owner of the farm on which the cottages are situated, is Dr. Morley Thomson of Swellendam. His son, Sven Thomson farms and runs the accommodation at Stormsvlei. The Victorian manor house was built in the early 1800's. It is the intention of the Thomsons to keep the unique settlement intact with its well preserved structures, some of which date from the 1700's.
