The delightful hillside residential area, a good school, an interesting local museum, an attractive bird park and wildlife sancuary, bowling green, a village shopping area and waterfront with its sandy beach notable for treck fishing when heavily laden nets are dragged ashore.
The water at Hout Bay is generally cold, although the beach is protected from the Nort-wester by the huge headland, Karbonkelberg and from the south-easter by the Noordhoek mountain and Chapman's Peak.

Tarragona Lodge, a 4 Star luxury accommodation establishment and wedding venue, situated on the southern slopes of Table Mountain in scenic Hout Bay, awaits the pleasure of your company. Although only 20 minutes from the Cape Town City Centre and a short 25 kilometre trip from Cape Town International Airport, Tarragona Lodge seems a world away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The ten spacious and comfortably, tastefully furnished suites that make up the private accommodation of Tarragona Lodge, all have either a balcony overlooking, or patio opening onto, the lush garden, pool and entertainment area. Each spacious unit is equipped with telephones, tea and coffee making facilities, hair dryers, satellite TV reception and built in safes.
Mulligans, the cocktail bar at Tarragona Lodge, provides an excellent venue in which to relax, unwind and enjoy sundowners after a hectic day of "relaxation" in and around the Fairest Cape. During the winter months the Tarragona Lodge open hearth fires add to the allure of the accommodations.
To provide our visitors with the best possible start to their day, breakfast at Tarragona Lodge is served in the double volume dining room with its wonderful view of the Hout Bay valley. After breakfast guests can spend the day, if they so wish, just relaxing in and around the swimming pool and on the rolling lawns in the shade of the mature trees in the garden.
Tarragona Lodge does offer lunch or dinner by arrangement, and in addition Hout Bay and the environs are able to offer visitors a large selection of excellent eateries and restaurants to choose from, and our helpful staff will gladly recommend some choices.

We have 4 double en-suite rooms (queen size bed), 4 twin en-suite rooms (two single beds and 2 family suites (king size bed and 2 additional single beds/sleeper couch/cot.
Each room is fully equipped. The luxurious modern en-suite bathrooms have both a shower and a bath.

Directions : To the lodge from the airport.
Take the N2 from the airport towards Cape Town About one kilometer later, there is a left turn to M5. Stay on the N2. Just after that you will pass a turn off to Liesbeek Parkway. You will then pass under two bridges accross the road which is running up an incline. Stay on the left hand side of the road and take the M3 south to Muizenburg.
Approximately five kilometers after this turn off, at a traffic light junction, take the M63 on the right to Kirstenbosch and Hout Bay. Follow the winding road over Constantia Nek and down the the mountain towards Hout Bay. Almost at the bottom of the Hill, just as you start to get out of the trees you will see our direction signs, Turn right into Disa River Road and proceed to the T Junction.
TARRAGONA LODGE is directly in front of you. Turn right and immediately left into the driveway.
