Although the national road divides Wilderness it has done nothing to spoil its profound beauty, in fact if anything the separation of the eight kilometre long beach from the village fringing the lagoon produces a special charm and the road provides accessibility to view sites to take in the scenic delights. At Wilderness the Touws River forms a lagoon from where boats can be taken upstream for sixteen kilometres leading to the lakes and Ebb and Flow Nature Reserve, a sanctuary of woodland streams, waterfalls and prolific bird life.

Tendele is built into the coastal forest of the dunes overlooking the scenic beauty of the wetlands in the Wilderness National Park. Sunrise creates stunning views of Island Lake.
Enjoy the peace and tranquillity while relaxing in our well appointed rooms. Take a break with sundowners on the deck watching the sunset over the mountains. Not forgetting the scrumptious breakfast in the morning.

With easy access to the N2, you are centrally situated to enjoy all the wonders of the Garden Route.
Accommodation :
There are three rooms which can accommodate up to seven guests. Green Room. A luxury Double Room with bathroom en-suite (bath & shower). Can be twin beds or king sized bed. TV, ceiling fan and tea tray. Private balcony. Blue Room. A luxury Double Room with bathroom en-suite (bath & shower). Can be twin beds or king sized bed. TV, ceiling fan and tea tray. Private balcony. Garden Flat. A self-catering garden unit suitable for two adults and maximum two small children. The unit is open plan with king size bed and sleeper couch. The en-suite bathroom has both shower and bath. The kitchenette is fully equipped with crockery & cutlery, pots & pans, microwave, hotplate, electric frying pan and small fridge.
Facilities: Very tranquil and peaceful enviroment. Excellent bird watching, Swimming pool with solar heating. Centrally situated to all Garden Route attractions. Lovely beaches and forest hiking trails. Canoeing and adventure sports.

Directions:
Travelling from Cape Town direction, pass the village of Wilderness and continue on the N2 in the direction of Knysna.
After about 5 kilometres you will see the Wilderness Beach Hotel on your right. Turn left into Serpentine Road and continue down the hill till you reach a T junction. Turn right into Lake road, Tendele is about 1 kilometre from the junction.
Beware of 4 speed dips in the road. Tendele is just after the fourth dip.
