The small town of Villiersdorp was named after Field Cornet P.H. de Villiers who was responsible for its establishment in 1843. It is the centre for the processing and marketing of the fruit, grapes, grain and onions of the district and lies in the picturesque Elands Valley, sheltered by the surrounding mountains; Aasvoelberg, 1644 metres to the west and Olifantsberg, 1603 mtres to the east, are the highest peaks. On the western side of the town is a beautiful botanical garden noted for proteas and its delightful show of summer annuals.

Vredelust B&B is a charming retreat in the beautiful village of Villiersdorp, situated near the Theewaterskloof Dam (7th Largest Dam in South Africa). Vredelust is within walking distance of the town centre and restaurants.

Comprises three en-suite double bedrooms and four self-catering units. All rooms have DSTV, tea and coffee making facilities. Braai/ barbecue in the garden. Secure parking provided.
The quaint self-catering units comprise an open plan double bedroom with fully equipped kitchenette.
Breakfast is served from the dining room adjoining a sitting room where guests can also relax.
