After Cape Town and Stellenbosch, Swellendam was the third settlement to be founded by the Dutch East India Company. Swellendam is a busy centre of a thriving agricultural region.
Description : Wildebraam is a youngberry estate situated in the picturesque Hermitage Valley, Swellendam (2km from town). Swellendam is the largest producer of young berries in the world and a private cellar on the farm produces unique South African liqueurs such as Youngberry, Honey, Fennel, Rooibos etc. as well as a delicious range of deli products ranging from syrups, jams and vinegars right through to chili relishes!! Guests are invited to a gastronomic feast in the tasting room year round.
Wildebraam's "berried" treasure is BERRY COTTAGE which offers guests spacious, tranquil accommodation with personalized attention to detail. Come and revive your soul with our breathtaking vistas of the Langeberg Mountains, berry fields and pastures.
