Type : Manufacturers of Baskets for the Cultivation of Abalone Description : We manufacture grow out baskets for the aqua culture of abalone. Our baskets are used to grow abalone for the lucrative export market. The baskets are made from oyster net - polyethylene mesh in mesh sizes to suit your requirements - any quantities - any sizes. The maximum length should not exceed 850 mm as this is the optimum weight bearing capacity. Seams are heat welded. The baskets hang in canvas, plastic (PVC) or concrete water tanks. The netting bag is attached to the frame by either nylon clips or stitched with nylon braid. The shelves inside the baskets where the abalone grow out is manufactured from high impact plastic. All material is manufactured to be consumer friendly and is neutral - the material will not affect the life or growth of the abalone.
