Bergen Dam Cottage used to be a farm workers residence which has recently been given a new lease of life with some renovations. The self-catering cottage is situated on the foothills of ‘Soetmuisberg’ just outside Bredasdorp. The cottage has no electricity and relies on paraffin lamps and candles for lighting and a wood fired ‘donkey’ for hot water. The cottage has a rustically luxurious feel to it.
