The Diaz Hotel is located only 50m from the high-water mark and offers spectacular ocean views from every window and balcony. The Diaz Hotel was named in honour of the famed Portuguese navigator, Bartolomeu Dias, who landed in Mossel Bay in 1488. Themed on the long and vivid history of the area, we offers guests a comfortable home away from home, with luxurious suites, surrounded by the charm of heritage, with attentive and considerate service throughout your stay.

In-Room facilities

Our rooms are key card operated, non-smoking and are cleaned daily. Please note that not all rooms are equipped with air-conditioning.

Wake-up calls can be arranged with reception. Each room has its own private sea-facing balcony with deck chairs and is equipped to provide you with luxurious comfort:

Our newly renovated Presidential Suite boasts a private lounge area, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (all with balcony and uninterrupted sea views).

The spacious main bedroom is furnished with a King bed, dressing table and ample cupboards with beautiful en-suite bathroom consisting of a corner bath, huge walk in shower, separate toilet and twin basins. The second bedroom has two Three Quarter beds and bathroom with huge walk in shower as well as a separate toilet.

The Diaz Hotel offers free under-cover parking for all hotel guests. The outdoor rim-flow pool is reserved exclusively for the use of hotel guests. There are ample deck chairs available at the pool’s edge.
