Gumtree Cottage offers cosy, pet-friendly self-catering accommodation with stunning views from the large, main patio and has a large, fully fenced garden. This artistically renovated cottage, just down the road from the popular Driftwood Cottage, can accommodate up to six people in three bedrooms.
Gumtree Cottage sits all alone on a large 2,200 sq m plot of land with absolutely stunning views both north over Napier towards the Sonderend Mountains and west into the Overberg sunsets.
The cottage is quaint, cosy, quirky, and very comfortable.
There’s a lounge, TV nook and a wood-burning “donkey” for chilly winter nights and a spacious kitchen.
Like Driftwood Cottage, Gumtree Cottage is close enough to main street to just park your car and walk almost everywhere in the village.
It all adds up to a perfect getaway, to rest, relax, and take in the charm of Napier!
Accommodation is provided in two double bedrooms and a walk-through, kiddies’ bedroom (curtain for privacy) with two single beds. A full bathroom with old-fashioned bath and a second bathroom with shower and toilet. Three patios, all covered. The large, main patio looks north and west. Cosy back porch, which is protected from the north-westerlies, and a small “Juliet” balcony facing north, where two people can sit and soak up the winter sun.
Lovely entertainment area under the gumtree, an olive orchard and some surprises in the garden.
Also a Weber braai and another portable braai for outside living, and seats and table under the gumtree.
Well behaved pets allowed – the garden is fully fenced. No smoking indoors.
