Platbos is an ancient indigenous forest situated at the foot of Africa. Described by botanist and author, Professor Eugene Moll, as a “unique South African forest jewel”, this is a forest that enchants and inspires all who come to visit.

Please note that we do not do Sunday check-ins. Please do not start your booking on a Sunday. Exceptions may be made for stays of 4 or more days.

Eco-friendly and “off-grid”, this camp provides private, tented accommodation for 2 guests. Like all our units at the Reserve, this venue is exclusive in that guests enjoy having this unique and beautiful site all to themselves. Rest in the arms of a spectacular and ancient Celtis africana tree and reconnect to the gentle rhythms of the Forest. At night soak away any troubles in the wood-fired hot tub as you gaze upon the magnificence of the Milky Way above.
